Wine Wednesday: A Look at Tattinger Champagne Aboard the Disney Dream

Champagne Bucket
From Reims where the history of France met the history of champagne, one of the finest names in the industry, Taittinger Champagne, has partnered with the Disney Dream to serve several extraordinary sips on board. From the inaugural year labels to specialty champagne cocktails with Disney flair, Taittinger Champagne helps create magical memories through its delightful vintages and blends. The overall wine list on board The Dream is exceptional and showcases innovative industry ideas while treating guests to some of the best glasses of wine not only on the high seas, but anywhere.

One of my favorites to enjoy as we sailed on our Dream was a special label Taittinger Prestige Rose. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot are fused together to create the delicate, yet intense flavors that make up TaittingerÕs Prestige Rose. ItÕs beautiful pink color is accented with the tiniest of bubbles streaming through your glass. ItÕs intense fruity nose in reminiscent of raspberry, the balance of flavors makes it an excellent choice to accompany a broad range of flavors. Tattinger Prestige Rose was the sommelierÕs first suggestion to me when I asked about champagne to accompany my dinner at Remy onboard the Disney Dream.

Pink Champagne by Tattinger

Taittinger Prestige Rose is also the signature sparkling wine at Pink, the ship's Champagne-theme cocktail bar with a pink elephant from the classic film "Dumbo" gracing the bottle. At Pink this delicious glass of fine bubbly is served with a special dessert verrine to accompany it.

The Taittinger Pink is served on the ship at about $20 a glass. However guests also may purchase a bottle of Prestige Rose to take home with them, exclusively on the Disney Dream for $91. Be sure to leave room in your suitcase though, because shipping is not available.
