Chef Mickey's Fun Time Buffet- Dining Type: Buffet with Characters

Chef Mickey's, located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, offers guests of all ages a truly unique character dining experience! This is the "GO TO" place for photo opps with the "Fab Five!" Guests will enjoy visits with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto who are dressed in their chef coats, hats, and aprons. Chef Mickey's offers Buffet Dining as well as "children's buffets" offering something for even the pickiest eaters. 
Chef Mickey's is one of the more popular Dining Destinations and reservations usually have to be booked well in advance! Because of its popularity, the atmosphere at Chef Mickey's is generally hectic, busy, and LOUD... but these are small drawbacks in my opinion due to the FABULOUS character interaction.
Chef Mickey's is open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, but I highly recommend dining at Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and the earlier, the better! The Breakfast Buffet features many hot breakfast favorites including bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage, cheesy potatoes, and the beloved Mickey Waffles. Also available is a nice selection of fresh fruit, pastries, and cereal! Children will enjoy the brownies and rice krispie treats :(, as well as the breakfast pizza!
We were seated in a smaller, back room, which was great since it was less busy than the main dining areas. We were surprised with how quickly the characters came around to our table and with the fact that they didn't rush off once they were there. DD has dreams of being a chef, so she arrived at Chef Mickey's appropriately wearing her Chef's hat and she insisted on carrying her "Mickey Whisk" along as well. The characters loved this and gave her some extra special attention. Pluto even showed her his own "whisking" technique in which he spins the whisk between his paws! This is a memory that will not soon fade away, and DD loves showing friends her new culinary trick via good ol' pal Pluto!
