DGTG Goes to WDW: Garden View Tea Room in Pictures

Walt Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort plays venue to the Garden View Tea Room, a quaint and cozy but elegant and almost regal spot hidden in the back corner of the Lobby.

Every afternoon, The Garden View Tea Room hosts Afternoon Tea.  This is a grand affair not to be missed, so throw on your hat and gloves and join me as I relive the experience through pictures!

Appropriately, Mrs. Potts and Chip grace the Marble entryway floors

The  afternoon sunlight hits the Tea Room Perfectly, adding to the elegant ambiance

The Menu at the Garden View Tea has something for everyone children and even gentlemen, so they are encouraged to attend as well, even amidst all the girliness!!!  On this trip there were 3 of us all ladies including my 3 year old daughter! This was our second visit, so we knew what to expect.  We ordered "The Grand Tea"($25.50)  which includes 3 courses, Champagne, and of course, Tea!
The Tea Room boasts a large selection of traditional teas and Custom Blends made exclusively for the GV Tea Room.  We picked the highly reccomended "Garden View Blend" which is described as a traditional Black English Tea Blend.  As an avid tea drinker all I can say is YUM!

My daughter ordered the Mrs. Potts Tea ($10.50) which includes 2 courses plus "Magical Dark Tea" (chocolate milk) but she preferred a "real tea" so the server offered to brew her the special "Princess Aurora Tea" used at the "Perfectly Princess Tea Party". (Decaf Strawberry Rooibos)

Royal Daulton China, sterling silver, and crystal grace the granite tabletop

Scrumptious and dainty tea sandwhiches include Egg Salad, Cucumber
and Watercress, Pear and Gorgonzola (my fave), and Shrimp Salad.
This Course also includes Champagne, Pate and a savory Tart! All Delish.

Mrs. Potts' Children's Tea. PB&J, Ham and Cheese, and Tuna Sammys

We also ordered the Sally Lunn Bread a la carte ($3.50) after hearing
such rave reviews... They were right! It's incredible! Served with rich butter
and Apricot Jam. (ask for it on the side)

Second Course, consisting of a buttery strawberry jam tart and a scone with Devonshire
Cream and Dickinson's Strawberry Jam.  I could've eaten 10 of these scones. AMAZING!

Third Course: Traditional English Trifle.  My family has strong English Roots, my GF is from
England, and I KNOW trifle!!! This is the real deal! We chose this over Pastries and fresh berries with Cream!

Bella's Tea included a choice of 3 handmade desserts!

The perfect ending to the perfect day! A rose for my birthday!!! Man, Disney knows how
to make a gal feel special!

In review, DGTG gives the Garden View Tea Room 2 thumbs up!!! I have already booked this experience again in March and will take my mom for the first time!  Words of advice: It's more food than you think!  I always leave stuffed!  Plan this as your lunch and breakfast combined if possible!  The Gardenview Blend Tea is available for purchase!!! Take some home with you!!!

This is fantastic! I don't know if I'll ever get to go because my husband and son would not do it! If we have time during the conference and down time we should try! ;-)

Thank you for the review. My mom is coming with us and she has reservations for the Garden View Tea Room at 2pm on Friday while I am at the conference. My sons wanted to go with her, but they only had a slot for 1. They'll have to hang out with daddy for a few hours!
